Whenever I travel for work outside of the LA area, I find it neccessary to scour shoe racks of the local ROSS. You pretty much NEVER know what you can find. I once copped the Nike Stab (Huarache color way) for $35 in Lompoc, and sold them the next weekend for $100. Anyway, just copped these CLEAN Air Rejuvin8's at the ROSS in Santa Barbara for an easy $25. You remember the Rejuven8's? Check this article, about the recovery shoe and for some insight in to the design process (Of course Tinker Hatfield, designer of everyone's favorite Air Jordan's, as well as the Air Max 1 and Presto templates, was involved).
Pretty good article via the Washington Post surrounding the effect of the current economic times on various spinoff brands. Not that surprising considering the general status of Malls in America anyway, seeing how most of these stores are found in malls anyway.
Back to back music posts? Yeah, yeah, I know. But it's Slaughterhouse! Check the vid of the Slaughtherhouse boys getting their Rock n Roll on with a track that (for them) could be geared towards catchin some maintstream success, but still maintaining their lyrical tenacity. I still think Crook got em ("I love these freak woman, something in my denim needa Kiss, call it Gene Simmons, they want to ban me like Marilyn Manson, cuz of all the whores in my Baltimore Maryland Mansion, I'm the one that wannna spear Britney, give Pink some black, put it near her kidney's (here kitty), I'm the one who always cause an affair, so everytime your b*tch burp, you smell my balls in the air, yeeeaaaa"
Todd James, better known as REAS, hooks up with Stussy (again) for a number of items this season, including these vinyl pieces, a few shirts, a hoody, button up, and hat. REAS is known worldwide for his graffiti skills, in addition to designing logo's for some of your favorite hip-hop artists. More info here.
Check out the lookbook for Dope Couture's Summer Line. I'm feeling this yacht inspired shirt A LOT. Line goes up for sale tomorrow (6/9) at noon. Act quick...
